I recently received the top coin, and only after receiving it and looking at more closely realized it's a bit unusual for the issue.

Compare to the more typical 2nd coin from the ANS.

Two things stand out about my (top) coin:

1) The top of the bust goes all the way to the beaded edge, making it much larger than typical, as well as having snazzy hair!

2) In similar fashion, on the reverse the soldier's elbows extend to the edge of the coin, rather than being tucked in behind the legend, allowing them to be much larger than normal

This doesn't seem to be part of a style transition - just the work of some over-achieving engraver!

The over-sized bust and soldiers really stand out when compared to the single standard type, which is already at a size disadvantage to start with.

awesome coin...the engraver did a fantastic job (maybe he copied Arles), especially with the reverse soldiers.
