Constantius I DIVO issue from Rome

Here is an interesting coin that just sold for 214.00 Euros. It is part of the DIVO series issued by Maxentius from Ostia and Rome. Maxentius issued these in the name of his father Maximianus, his father-in-law Galerius and Constantius I, his brother-in-law. Maxentius was showing the people that he was the rightful ruler through his relationships with these other rulers. Cathy King said that Maxentius was trying to emphasize “any and every claim to rule that he could find.”
