Constantine I - Arles VLPP

Well condition could be better but the high-crested helmet bust seems to be uncommon for this variation :)

Welcome aboard

Yes, it is uncommon...congratulations. RIC does not record this type but it is in Ferrando's  L’atelier monétaire d’Arles

Welcome.
Rare coin indeed, Ferrando records this coin  as unique (2003) for the the 2nd officina (414) and R1(2-3ex.) for the first one (413). I can't see in which officina your coin has been struck.
Note that there must be an error in Ferrando's book as he describes the obverse legend with a N-S break and show a coin with a S-T break.

Thanks :)  I guess there's a fair chance to find a rarity among the load of low grade 'washers' running through eBay if only one got the patience.

I don't have any books yet (except one on Constantine). As a collector I'm of the nerdy kind and prefer to concentrate on a few types and just happened to take a liking in the VLPP series and am now trying to get the main types - Hence its pleasing to find one of the more difficult ones though there seems to be a few rarities within this series.

This one was in the mails today:

I like the VLPP coins myself and collected them for many years, mainly from Siscia though.
