Galla Placidia (A.D. 392- 450) was the daughter of Theodosius I and acted as regent (from A.D. 423- 437) for Valentinian III until he was old enough to rule. During the years 414- 415, she was the consort of the King of the Goths, Ataulf. She was also the Empress Consort of Valentinian III from 417- 422.
