A campgate from Trier
« on: December 26, 2013, 04:49:14 PM »
One of my latest `captures´ :

Constantine for Constantine II, as Caesar, Treveri (Trier) mint, officina 2, emission 30, 326 AD.,
Follis (16-18 mm / 2,25 g), bronze, axes coin alignment ↑↓ (ca. 180°),
Obv.: CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C , laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantinus II, facing left (RIC type B4 l. (p. 88)).
Rev.: PROVIDEN - TIA[E C]AESS / S TR (dot in crescent) , camp gate with two turrets, six layers, no doors, and one star above.
RIC VII, 209, 479 (c3, very common)
