« on: February 26, 2025, 09:06:03 AM »
I just got this neat example and it still has some silvering remaining.

Constantine I
Circa A.D. 323
18mm     2.6g
CONSTAN-TINVS AG; laureate bust right, wearing trabea (?), holding eagle-tipped sceptre in right hand.
BEAT TRAN-QVILLITAS; globe set on altar inscribed VOT/IS/XX; above, three stars.
in ex. PTR
Trier copy

Partially horrible, but partially quite convincing.
For example, if I saw only this picture I couldn't tell if the coin is official or not.
