Maximinus II GENIO CAESARIS from Serdica
« on: December 09, 2024, 10:59:49 AM »
Nothing special; but Serdica coins are a bit tougher to find. This is only my second example for Maximinus II. The mint in Serdica opened in A.D.303 and closed in A.D. 308; so this was the last series struck by the mint. For its last year, showing the breakdown in the Tetrarchy system; Serdica only issued coins for Galerius, Maximinus II and Galeria Valeria.
