It's part of the job; but sometimes it is a bit too much.

Recently I had a customer ask whether the three coins below had bronze disease. The first two are ex- Dattari, so have been in a collection for over a hundred years...plus he was asking about the blue deposits (azurite). He then asked about the Probus (specifically the spot under the R of PROBVS on obverse); which I have had for 10 years with no change in the appearance.

I suspect that he is a member of a Facebook or Reddit group.  ::)

I also explained that neither myself or any ethical dealer would knowingly sell a coin with bronze disease.
