Building own coin cabinet, best trays?
« on: January 28, 2024, 10:56:03 AM »
Hi all,

I have been toying with the idea of building my own coin cabinet for a while now and I think this year is the year to start. I have a number of questions:

1. I've read everywhere that Mahogany is the best wood to use for coin cabinets. Does anyone know a good supplier in Europe?
2. One thing that I do not want to do is build the trays as well. Since I am based in Europe, I was wondering which suppliers you would recommend for trays? Are there much of a difference between say Abafil, Zecchi, and cheaper manufacturers such as Lindner?

Any advice would be appreciated, especially around issues you have with your specific coin cabinets or things you would have found useful.

Thanks!
Tjaart

Thanks for the suggestion, Victor. I will have to look into those as well.
