This coin is from the 1873 Little Orme’s Head Hoard. The hoard was found on the northern coast of Wales and had about 5,000 coins from Western mints, starting with coins from Carausius and ending with coins of Constantine I and Licinius I.

A nice coin with a very interesting provenance Victor. I wonder did the coin come with any old ticket? An exceptional Carausius coin from the same hoard in the British Museum says acquisition in 1958 from BA Seaby: https://www.britishmuseum.org/collection/object/C_1958-0105-1

No, it didn't come with anything except the dealer ticket. That Carausius is magnificent.
