Cleaning an ancient coin

If you bought this coin, would you try to clean the reverse, and if so how?

I wouldn't try to clean it. The best way would be mechanical, slowly with a scalpel under magnification, like a microscope. This is a long, tedious process; which is why I wouldn't do it for this coin.
