tray of slabbed Bishop's Wood Hoard coins
« on: October 16, 2021, 12:14:08 PM »

I don't particularly like ancient coins in slabs, but left all these in their slabs because they are from the 1895 Bishop's Wood hoard. I just got this lighthouse tray which holds nine; which was conveniently the number I had. It's much easier to see the coins now, compared to the NGC slab box I had them in.

I suppose you already know, but the pot on the label is the one the hoard was found in.

When Baldwin's sold part of the hoard, it came complete with a custom cabinet that had been made for it, and the pot.

Yes, I have seen the pot and display case. It would be cool to have the pot...I don't need the case though.
