RIC X notes that the type had an officina mark at Nicomedia but this specimen evidently lacks the officina. There is however a precedent -- Constantinople mint issued this type with both a longer exergue (CONS) and a shorter one (CON). The same conditions might have applied to Nicomedia also.

To me this coin looks official and not an imitation.
