I hope everyone is doing well!
This is my first post in the Forum. Some of you I know, some I do not .. but hopefully will get to know, but it is a pleasure to talk to you all regardless.
Wanted to get some feedback. I just picked up a coin on eBay that I am sure a few of you probably saw when it was listed and after getting it I have some doubts regarding it's authenticity. Figured there was no better place than here than to get to the bottom of it.
This SOLE INVICTO Constantine I from Cyzicus (22mm, 4.54g) came in the mail yesterday and the first thing that struck me as weird was its almost metallic finish (the pictures don't quite capture it). It wasn't your typical silvered LRB, but almost had a mirror quality to it. Also it was incredibly smooth ... very strangely so. There appears to be some dirt on the reverse in the edges adjacent to the legend, in the exergue and Sol's head and hand but unfortunately these days that doesn't mean a coin in genuine.
Lech had put it up in his Not in RIC page on his own

I sent a video to Nicola who had his doubts (pointing out the wavy letters, and a break in the S at 12 o'clock) and feels it may be a cast.
Figured I would throw it out there and see what everyone else thinks.
Thanks for the help!
