Here is a rare coin with the obverse legend VAL CONSTANTINVS LICINIVS N CAES (RIC VII Alexandria 21). It was also used at Heraclea as D N VAL CONST LICINIVS NOB C. It seems the legend was used after the 1st Civil War (A.D. 316) between Constantine and Licinius in an attempt by Licinius to demonstrate peace and perhaps remind Constantine that he was family by marriage and Licinius II was his nephew. "The rapidly passing employment of the name Constantinus for the younger Licinius shows that the cordial relations between the two Imperial Houses very soon cooled off." (RIC VII pg 29)
