Probus SALVS from Lugdunum
« on: October 23, 2018, 12:51:03 PM »
I think that the Lugdunum mint had some of the best portraits of Probus...a distinctive style from the mint.

Probus
A.D. 282
Ӕ Antoninianus
20x22mm       3.7gm
IMP C PROBVS•P•F•AVG; Radiate and cuirassed bust right.
SALVS AVG; Salus stg. left, feeding serpent rising from altar, holding patera and sceptre; B in right field.
RIC V Lugdunum 124
