This coin of Constans has his name spelled as CONSTANTIS. I wondered if it might actually be Constantius II, but RIC only lists Constans with left facing busts for this issue. However, Constantius II has FL IVL in his obverse legend, while the Constans issue (spelled properly) is FL CONSTANS.
The engravers could have gotten it wrong because this was the first bronze issue from Nicomedia for Constans and they probably didn't realize how to spell his name.
