ROMA E-sale 40
« on: October 28, 2017, 12:38:26 PM »
I bid on 5 lots in the latest ROMA auction and all were successful, and thankfully not my max bids. I am really looking forward to getting these, the first two lots with 10 coins each look especially nice.

They look good and hopefully in hand they are as good or better. Even after all these years of collecting and many coins sorted, I still enjoy cataloguing coins...it's like a treasure hunt each time.

one of the cons of buying large groups- 13 of the coins out of 104 (so more than 10%), are the same type. I knew there were a few from the pictures, but was not expecting so many.

So, remember there are reasons dealers sell piles of coins

Anonymous pagan civic coinage

GENIO ANTIOCHENI; Statue of the Tyche of Antioch on rock, below the river god Orontes.
APOLLONI SANCTO; Apollo, stg.l. holding patera and lyre, in right field H
