ROMA E-sale 38...the tale of two lots.
« on: July 31, 2017, 12:29:34 PM »
I won five lots of LRB's from the latest ROMA auction. Each lot had 25 coins and all had a reserve of £200. What I thought interesting were the prices for two of the lots. For Lot 1114 (first below) I was the only bidder, so I got it for £200 plus £30 buyers fee. The second lot below (#1112) I got for my max bid of £360 plus £54 buyers fee. So the total price £414 versus £230, though not twice, was getting close to double. A rhetorical question...is either lot worth the price?
