Constantine I Siscia VLPP with unusual central design

This coin is completely silvered and has what appears to be a stylized star (or maybe an equilateral cross) in the center strip of the helmet. Normally this strip is engraved showing just a few rivets and sometimes a bit of design like a few lines; something this elaborate is unusual.

Interesting helmet pattern, I think it just might be a stylize cross. Very nice coin.

I wish that I could be sure it was a cross, as that would add to the allure of this coin; but all I can be sure about is that it is definitely a maybe!

I just won another Siscia 84 with an interesting design in the center strip of the helmet. It is so close to a Chi-Rho...but not quite there. I will post better pictures when I have the coin in hand.

The design in the center strip looks to be an eight-pointed star like the ones on either side of it.
